E98: Healthy soil, healthy planet, healthy people: inspiration to leave our planet better for future generations with Karlie & Cody of Ten Creek Range by Stoney Creek Farm

We are super excited to introduce today’s guests, Karlie & Cody of Ten Creek Range by Stoney Creek Farm, which is in Redwood Falls, MN, not far from the Twin Cities. Ten Creek Range is a farm-to-fork, family owned and operated direct marketing business focused on making healthy proteins accessible to everyone. Karlie is a 5th generation farmer, who after shadowing her dad and grandfather's farming journeys, returned to the farm with her husband, Cody, their daughters, and an idea. Ten Creek Range was founded in March of 2018 and can be described as a quaint little family farm tucked into the Minnesota River Valley. Karlie and Cody have taken a different approach to traditional farming by implementing sustainable farming practices, eliminating all tillage and modifying their livestock management over the last 25 years. They focus on soil health, which has led to nutrient dense and high quality beef that their customers love. They've since expanded with an e-commerce store as well as adding new products including poultry, free-range and soy-free eggs, pork, and soon snack items. All products are non-GMO, all natural and most importantly, all are grown on their family farm with regeneration and sustainability in mind.

Ten Creek Range by Stoney Creek Farm runs on the principle that they can bring the best beef, pork and poultry to their customers  all while improving the soil health and water quality.

Stoney Creek Farm has received numerous awards for conservation and regenerative farming methods and strives to continue improving the health of their soil in their cropping operation and pastures.

If you've never heard of Regen Ag, know that you’re not alone as this is a topic we've only recently became passionate about and are still learning.  During today’s episode you will learn about what it is and why this farming practice is critical to the health of our planet, human health as well as reducing global warming.

You will be fascinated to learn about how traditional farming practices like tilling, are killing the microbiology in our soil, resulting in nutrient deficiency, which is impacting our overall health and wellbeing as a planet.

Ten Creek Range by Stoney Creek Farm are pioneers within their farming community and have already seen tremendous benefits both for their animals, the soil and the environment.

This episode will enlighten and inspire you to seek our regenerative farmers in your area and do your part by voting with your dollars.  Codie and Karlie share their simple tips that each one of us can do to help reduce the impact of climate change.
